Course Supervisor and principal lecturer
in the two-year Laboratory Animal Medicine Residency, Course Supervisor
in the two-year Veterinary Surgery Residency, and Course Supervisor
of the annual one-week Operational Laboratory Animal Medical Problems
Course. Designed the curricula for these courses and directed the
courses to include lecture and laboratory teaching, selection of
additional instructors, evaluation of both students and instructors,
and administration of examinations. Served as reviewer for all Master's
Degree thesis proposals and final drafts prior to their submission
to the Texas A&M University as part of the two-year residency programs.
Served as Clinician and Surgeon in various branches of the Veterinary
Sciences Division to include direct participation in research and
clinical care of research animals. Project Director for Publication
of 20 Volume Series of AeroMedical Reviews on "Selected topics in
Laboratory Animal Medicine."

months of academic and clinical training in Laboratory Animal Medicine.
Completed an original research project and sat for examination in
defense of research in the area of hypobaric aerospace physiology.

Completed two semesters of graduate course
work as a portion of the laboratory animal medicine residency.
December 1967 to August 1968:
Base Veterinarian Lackland Air Force Base, Texas
Directed food inspections and food facility
sanitation inspections for base food service and the exchange for
Lackland Air Force Base. Inspection responsibilities required monitoring
of dining halls, meat processing plants, food storage warehouse,
commissaries, exchange cafeterias, vending machine, and facilities
with off-base food contracts. Responsible for zoonosis control and
operation of animal clinics. Provided veterinary care and herd health
program for base stables. Served as part-time attending veterinarian
at the Surgical Research Laboratory. Assisted in surgical preparation
of laboratory animals and was responsible for clinical care of research
animals.
